“Better & Different” presents three different recipes – sweet and salty, which combine the innovative product, “Quinoflakes” – roasted quinoa flakes that are made of quinoa seeds.

Peanut butter with “Quinoflakes” with citrus aroma:

Ingredients (for eleven small balls):

1¼ cups of “Natural Quinoflakes”

1 cup of natural dates puree (preferably without sugar additives)

1¼ cups of “Better & Different” peanut butter (without food additives)

1 tea spoon of citrus water (not concentrated)

For the coating: cocoa powder

Instructions:

Mix the dates puree, peanut butter and citrus water.

Add the “Quinoflakes” and continue to mix until you reach an even consistency mixture.

Make small balls and coat with cocoa powder. You may keep them in the fridge in a sealed container.

Apple crumble with “Quinoflakes”:

Ingredients:

5 apples for baking – preferably different species (for rich and deeper flavors)

3 table spoons of coconut sugar

2 table spoons of coconut flour

1 table spoon of raisins (preferably organic)

¾ tea spoon of grounded cinnamon

1 tea spoon of balsamic vinegar

A pinch of salt

For the “Quinoflakes” crust:

1 cup of organic “Quinoflakes”

¼ cup of natural walnuts coarsely ground

1 table spoon of lighlty toasted pine nuts

½ cup of coconut sugar (preferably ground in a spice grinder)

3 table spoons of natural coconut oil

Instructions:

Heat the oven to a temperature of 180 degrees.

Mix all the ingredients for the apple filling until a consistency and place it in a medium-sized baking tray, greased with a bit of oil. Personal baking trays are also an option.

Cover the tray with aluminum foil and make small holes with a fork to allow the steam to exit.

Bake for 25 minutes, after which you remove the aluminum foil and continue baking for another 25 minutes.

While waiting for the apple filling to bake, mix the ingredients for the “Quinoflakes” crust. Mix with your fingers to receive small chunks.

After 50 minutes – take out the apple filling’s tray out of the oven and spread the “Quinoflakes” mixture over.

Insert the tray back into the oven and bake for another 7 minutes.

Leave the apple crumble to cool at room temperature.

* Serving is recommended with vegan vanilla ice cream or vegan yogurt.

Baked cauliflower with “Quinoflakes” coating:

Ingredients (for 4 dishes):

1 cauliflower head, cleansed and sliced or cut to wedges.

For the sauce:

4 table spoons of olive oil

1 table spoon of soy sauce

1 tea spoon of maple syrup

½ tea spoon of mustard

½ tea spoon of salt

½ tea spoon of black pepper

For the seasoned “Quinoflakes” coating:

¼ cup of “Natural Quinoflakes”

1 table spoon of dried parsley or dill

1 table spoon of ground garlic powder

⅓ tea spoon of pounded chili (for a stronger flavor, more may be added)

½ tea spoon of salt (or by taste)

Ground black pepper (לא מצוינת במקור הכמות).

¼ cup of fresh, coarsely shredded parsley, to sprinkle over the cauliflowers prior to serving.

Instructions:

Heat the oven to 220 degrees.

Grease the baking tray with a bit of coconut oil and place the cauliflowers in a single layer.

Mix the olive oil, soy sauce, maple syrup, mustard and spices into a consistent mixture and pour it over the cauliflower.

Bake in the oven for 40 minutes, until the cauliflowers are soft, yet not too soft.

While the cauliflowers are in the oven, mix the “Quinoflakes” with the spices. As soon as the cauliflowers are nicely baked, take the tray out with caution and coat the spiced “Quinoflakes” mixture above them. Put the tray back in the oven for 5 minutes of baking.

Serving is recommended while hot with fresh chopped parsley sprinkled on top.
